Very bad for the environment, so nowadays it's premixed with brine and sprayed very thinly. Very effective but only after you have removed the actual snow.Frits Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11399632570565541892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3102538965694240940.post-39029971131647876382010-01-02T08:25:20.319+01:002010-01-02T08:25:20.319+01:00I love how your bike lanes are plowed and gritted ...I love how your bike lanes are plowed and gritted (first time I've heard that word). The ones in Chicago aren't, but as long as the motorists move their cars from key streets (like they're supposed to), it's usually okay.

I referenced a previous article you wrote about people in wheelchairs <a href="http://stevevance.wordpress.com/2010/01/02/Steven Vancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17187232603226921265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3102538965694240940.post-15177392405579745002010-01-02T02:42:38.577+01:002010-01-02T02:42:38.577+01:00I am curious about the actual composition of the s...I am curious about the actual composition of the stuff they use to keep the ice at bay... do you know?Slow Factoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12056080802746709323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3102538965694240940.post-9133700447675528352010-01-01T23:14:02.418+01:002010-01-01T23:14:02.418+01:00Happy New Year from Virginia USA.

We haven't seen snow on...Happy New Year David!

We haven't seen snow on the ground yet here in Toronto, but it's snowing right now and the grass is almost covered. Hopefully we will see more people cycling through the winter this year, and more next year.

Thanks for showing the rest of the world that snow doesn't have to be a barrier to utility cycling.James D. Great to see yo...Happy New Year to you too David.

Great to see you still have snow! And even better to see what the cycle paths look like. Assen is doing a great job there. As you will know this is something local authorities have to organise and they don't all do it this well.

But here, just 200km south of you, it is not necessary anymore: we have been clear of snow for a week now.Mark W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07882028603632115187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3102538965694240940.post-29562575779827680812010-01-01T18:30:11.604+01:002010-01-01T18:30:11.604+01:00Happy New Year to you (from Paisley) and thanks fo...Happy New Year to you (from Paisley) and thanks for the insight into a fantastic cycling network :-)Dave Tellinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00573107142123710576noreply@blogger.com
